This course is designed to meet Alaska Independent Distance Education Curriculum, State of Alaska Content Standards and the American School counselor Association National Standards. AIDE Career Planning is a comprehensive course that covers: career exploration, self assessment, decision making, major industries, opportunities in your community, job training, communication skills, life outside work, and developing an action plan and goals. Quizzes and tests are available on-line (graded immediately) or upon request they may be sent out in a packet to a parent or a local instructor and mailed in. Study guides and lesson summaries are also available in packet form or on-line. The comprehensive check list above lists all items to be completed for the course. You may use it to keep track of where you are in the course.
